Learn the traditional Japanese indigo resist-dyeing technique of Nui (stitched) Shibori. This technique tends to be a bit more controlled than some other shibori methods, and lends itself to graphic shapes and simple images.
In this full day workshop, you will learn about working with a fructose fermentation indigo vat, and mix your own for use in the workshop and to take home and continue using.
Explore a range of nui shibori techniques, and experiment with dyeing different fabric types.
You might also like to bring your own natural fibre fabric items to dye, but not essential.
BYO bucket with lid (about 10 litres), and lunch. Other refreshments provided.
