Any natural fibre fabric items can be dyed in indigo, so after learning the ropes, look through your cupboards and see what else you might like to dye! If stored properly, your dye vat can last for months.

Kit includes: indigo, fructose, lime (calcium hydroxide), dust mask and gloves to mix your own dye vat; six 50 cm squares of pre-washed 100% cotton fabric (three each of calico and voile); assorted bits and pieces to create shibori patterns including rubber bands, corks, beads, pop sticks and a small and large pair of acrylic itajime shapes.
The three video tutorials include: detailed information on mixing up and maintaining your fructose fermentation dye vat; shibori techniques; the dyeing process.On payment, you will receive a link to access the three videos.
You will need to provide: a 10-20 litre bucket with tight fitting lid to store your dye vat for future use; a 1-2 litre container or jar to prepare the indigo; a bucket for rinsing and a large spoon (metal or wooden).
