Empty Spaces: Exploring Loss and Longing
Within the delicate interplay of ceramics and pipe cleaners, these vessels stand as a testament to the silent echo of loss. These very different materials unite to embody the fragility and resilience of the human spirit. Clay, with it’s earth-bound origins, references the finality in loss—the unyielding fact of what is gone. At the same time, pipe cleaners offer a different story: they show how we can reshape and reconnect, bringing colourful strength and beauty out of tough situations. Creating these vessels is a healing ritual, an act where heat and patience forge strength from sorrow.
This work is an invitation: within fragility, discover strength; within emptiness, recognize potential; within loss, embrace the enduring connection to what we hold dear.
